The trip was amazing. If you ever dream of being Indiana Jones, this is a trip for you. It was a wilderness adventure with archeology and cultural anthropology, and an up close experience of the socio-political reality of Honduras today. . . But there is much more to this trip. I never expected to understand the challenges and hardships of the Honduras people as deeply as I appreciate them now. I hope our time and dollars meant a lot to the local economy. Dr Begley’s expert working knowledge of the area and his leadership to protect the archeology and the region is invaluable.
